Wine Country is Love

For those who don’t know me, I love wine! If you do know me and have been to my home the first thing I instinctively do is offer wine. I love coming home to a glass of wine and I love tasting the notes of about a million different flavors in my wine. I tend to favor the Syrah’s of Australia and Argentina and Cabernets of well, California! Every day I wake up I thank God I live so closely to wine country. It is one of the very highlights of living in San Francisco. At any time I have friends going to pick up shipments who offer to take me, or the ability to hop in a rental car and make the trip!

I’m currently a member of Winc, a wine club that sends you monthly boxes of wines from all over the country and of Comstock Wines. Comstock is amazing for hosting member only wine tasting events that allow you to get out of the city, enjoy the sun, and make some new friends.

I had such an amazing time last Saturday enjoying Sonoma wine country with some friends. We took the trip for my friends birthday celebration and we enjoyed good wine and such beautiful sights! Here’s a little taste of California Wine Country.

Cozy Sweater Weather

Winter in San Francisco is so much different than winter in Ohio. Granted, its not freezing snow and ice falling constantly but it’s definitely rainy season and it gets much windier/chillier than normal. Layers are always key! I actually took out my peacoat this week for the first time in awhile. I’ve managed to get 2-3 good sweaters for the season though and this Cowl-neck from BCBGeneration is so comfy and warm. It’s been a lot of cozy nights indoors for me this holiday season and there’s nothing better than curling up in the couch in this with my Uniqlo Legging pants.

I accessorized this look with my Anne Klein silver tone tan leather watch. Watching my husband collect watches has really got my watch collection growing. Not only are these great accessories but they actually serve a purpose and believe it or not I’ve actually used them to tell time (Gasp! I know. Old school).

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today I am reminded of exactly how blessed I am and I give thanks for all the people in my life. This post is totally non-related to fashion but I just had to post about what a wonderful day it has been. As I move into the next chapter of my life (married life), I love this Friendsgiving tradition that my friends and I have started. There is nothing that quite tops quality time with close friends and just being there for one another. Sharing some of my Thanksgiving with you all and hoping that you all had an amazing Thanksgiving! Thanks for following 🙂

Rustic Travel Pieces

I am so excited that it is officially Thanksgiving time! I’ve been using my time off to cook, bake, workout, spend time with my husband and scope out all those Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals coming up this weekend. See my deals section on the right side for all the goodies. I already have my eye out on a beautiful cognac travel bag from Sole Society (top). As busy traveling season arrives (and I get ready to head to Charlotte and Milwaukee) to visit family I’m thinking about packing in style. These travel bags are a great addition to my regular travel size luggage (also Cognac from the Jessica Simpson line) and did I mention they’re beautiful!

It’s such a fun time of year! After baking the turkey, ham, and a few side dishes I am thrilled about the return of Gilmore Girls on Friday! It’s going to be a wonderful four day weekend. Giving thanks for my many blessings and all my blog visitors tonight.

Here are some other beauties from Sole Society that I love:

Well, the rain kept us indoors today (not intended) but hey, I finally got some shots of myself in my new clothes (thanks to my husband)! I wanted to feature this new dress I bought for the holidays. I’ve recently purchased so much burgundy this fall and it’s such a beautiful color. I’ve been on the hunt for dresses for Thanksgiving gatherings, Christmas parties, and even to wear on our up coming trip to Charlotte and Milwaukee to visit my parents and in-laws. My favorite things about this dress is that it’s simple, elegant, and semi-formal. This dress did need accessorizing but you can easily change the type of look using different jewelry. The trench coat is from Bar III and it’s timeless and versatile. I can’t wait to try it on with some other dresses as well.

I’m so excited to be working with Francesca’s! I find all sorts of treasures here – and already own so many of their dresses. This post wouldn’t be complete without dropping in some gems from this store too. Here are some other dresses (BOGO 50% off  sale now on dresses) and outfits I like for the holidays!:

I’ve been having Cargo Jacket obsession lately! This has become one of my new favorites because its just so cute and casual. What’s great about this jacket is it even has a waist drawstring to give more definition. Living in San Francisco it’s always a good idea to have about 5 good jackets handy to rotate. Living near the water really picks up a breeze and dresses can’t help you there. When I match this with a nice light scarf and my boots I’m ready for to take on the world (still a midwesterner in California).

Also want to say that Pink Lily Boutique has been one of my prime go to online boutiques with so much style! I can’t get enough!

Tis’ the season to bring out ankle boots, colorful infinity scarves, and a hot cup of tea! Fall brings such great things not to mention pumpkin spiced everything! These boots are the first to add to my fall collection and I absolutely love them! I packed them on my recent trip to Calistoga/Napa and they were so comfortable and cute while moving from winery to winery. Above are a few other styles I love! #BootieGameStrong
